1 month and a few days of work

Well lady and Gents I am writing to you on my third weekend here in Kochi. I've made it past 2 evaluations, both of which I obtained good marks and I am coming up on my final evaluation next month in November. Right now I am staying hopeful that Nova (the company I work for) will still be around for a little while longer so I can actually get a paycheck. Anyway enough about talking about a potential storm cloud that has grown to the size of a hurricane which hangs over me like a giant hurricane.

G'day Mate
I have noticed that as of late I have been slowly but surely been picking up a slight and I do mean slight accent for Australian English or the queens down-under English as I so like to call it. I have learned that in my natural life I have constantly said called aluminum foil "aluminum" but is supposed to be pronounced "aLUHminIum" and Laboratory is "LAH BOR ATORY". Man and here I was thinking that I was speaking correct English for most of my life. As you can see I not only work with a lot of Aussies I live with them too. Let me first point out that I live with some of the greatest roomates a guy could hope for coming to a foreign country to live for an undetermined amount of time. I just have to give a warning to my parents that next time they see me I might have a little bit of twang in my voice.
